Harm and Hazard Prevention Plan

Review and follow-up management of Harm and Hazard Prevention Plan: to protect workers’ safety and health
To ensure safe construction works, employers write Harm and Hazard Prevention Plan on their own and submit the Plan to KOSHA. KOSHA reviews the Plan and conducts follow-up checks on the construction workplaces to make sure that the Harm and Hazard Prevention Plan is carefully followed
Construction works requiring Harm and Hazard Prevention Plan
  • Construction, retrofitting, and dismantling (the "construction") of buildings and structures 31m or taller in height; buildings with a total floor area of 30,00m² or larger or cultural facilities and meeting places with a total floor area of 5,000m² or larger (excluding exhibition halls, zoos, and botanical gardens); retail stores and transportation facilities (excluding express train stations and collection and delivery facilities); religion guildhalls; general hospitals; hotel facilities for tourists; underground arcade; and cold storages
  • Facility construction or insulation works of cold storages with a total floor area of 5,000m² or larger
  • Construction of bridges with the maximum span of 50m or longer
  • Construction of tunnels
  • Construction of multi-purpose dams, hydroelectric dams, storage dams with a total capacity of 20 million tons or larger, and water supply dams
  • Excavation works of 10 meters or deeper
