The 1st International Conference on Accident Prevention (ICAP 2010) was held in the
Westin Chosun Hotel (Busan, Korea) from October 20 (Wed) to 22 (Fri), 2010 .
The ICAP 2010 is the first conference to be sponsored by the ICOH-SCAP.

The results and the program of the ICAP 2010 include the following:

1. Number of Participants : 315 participants from 16 countries

2. Technical Sessions : 15 sessions on 13 topics and subjects 
   (74 oral presentations, 47 poster presentations)

3. Five keynote speeches and five special lectures : Four Korean speakers, six speakers from abroad

4. Technical visits to workplaces with excellent safety and health practices
                                   : Four worksites (e.g. Hyundai Heavy Industries)

5. ICAP-SCAP General Meeting, Busan City tour, Reception, etc.

The outcome of the ICAP 2010:

 1. Established the networking foundation for the ICOH Congress in 2015, which is to be held in Korea.
    (Expand the scope of prospective participants through the cooperation with the Korean Society of Safety)

2. Substantial discussion on practical measures to accident prevention through the implementation of
    the Seoul Declaration on Safety and Health at Work.

3. Revitalization of the Scientific Committee on Accident Prevention (SCAP) of
    the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH)
     : Decided to hold the 2nd International Conference on Accident Prevention (in 2011), in London.
