Level up the safety at work places with risk assessment

KOSHA checks safety and health at work places in Chang-won

President Hun-ki Baek of KOSHA visited work places in Chang-won, Southern Gyung-sang province on May 23 to check the risk assessment that began to be applied from this year to industries.

The risk assessment, also chosen in advanced nations such as the U.S., U.K., and Japan, is a system through which work places assess and improve the risks in a self-regulated manner.

The president visited Chang-won complex of Hyosung, checked OSH services and joint OSH programs the company provided to its 90 partners, and was briefed on the progress of the risk assessment.

Following Chang-won, he went to visit Masan branch of Shinsegye and delivered a certificate on risk assessment as the branch successfully implemented the risk assessment for 5 partners.

President Baek said “The risk assessment is to find out risks at work places by both employers and employees.” pointing out the importance of large conglomerates’ efforts to support their partners who are relatively lack of resources for OSH.
