KOSHA President visited Ulsan water tank explosion site and discussed countermeasures

○ President of KOSHA, Baek Hun-ki, paid a visit to water tank explosion site in Ulsan on July 30 to see how the investigation is going and discuss countermeasures.

- Mr. Baek was briefed on what caused the explosion and how the investigation is going and directed officials to come up with countermeasures.

※ SMP W-1 project where the water tank exploded has been suspended until necessary improvements in safety measures are designed and implemented and a thorough investigation to find out what caused the explosion is under way.

Mr. Baek also visited KOSHA’s new headquarters construction site in Ulsan to ask officials to complete the construction safely by the end of this year according to the plan.
