KOSHA shares love and compassion with the local community,

celebrating the Lunar New Year with the elderly living alone at the headquarters

Jan. 28, 2014

KOSHA (headed by President Baek Hun-ki) invited senior citizens living alone in the local community in cooperation with Bupyeong Senior Welfare Center, a local social welfare center, and celebrated the Lunar New Year in advance on Jan. 28 at the KOSHA headquarters in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.

KOSHA regularly holds such events to share love and compassion in celebration of special occasions such as the Lunar New Year, Parents' Day, and Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. KOSHA also hosts birthday parties and entertaining events for the elderly who are living with financial difficulties in the local community.

Furthermore, more than 1,000 executives and employees of KOSHA have contributed some of their monthly salaries to the “Sharing Culture Fund.” The fund raised as much as 120 million won, which was used to provide scholarship for the children of victims of occupational accidents, and to financially support rural villages and senior citizens living alone.

President Baek Hun-ki said, “The Lunar New Year can be more meaningful if we take this greatest holiday of Korea as an opportunity not only to send best wishes to your family and friends but also to embrace our vulnerable neighbors.
