‘Single minded toward accident prevention for migrant workers'

MoU between KOSHA-HRDSK for systematic OSH training&education

□ KOSHA and HRDSK agreed with commitment for accident prevention 
   for migrant workers
.

President of KOSHA Young-Soon, Lee and President of HRDSK 
   Young-Beom, Park have signed MoU, mainly about substantial OSH 
   training&education for migrant workers on 10th May at HRDSK‘s
   headquarters which is located in Jung-gu, Ulsan.


□ According to the MoU any migrant workers, employed to Korean
    company will get systematic OSH training&education before and after
    their arrival on Republic of Korea.


○ General OSH training including basic OSH rules will be covered at the
    pre-work training&education at the workers' home country. Upon their
    arrival practical OSH training will be delivered through migrant workers'
    employment training agencies.


○ The both agencies will actively facilitate training system of HRDSK and
    KOSHA will support PPEs, educational material and instructors for
    smooth implementation of the MoU.

□ Also the MoU includes employers' OSH training course management
    for migrant workers and other courses for OSH training instructors.
    The two organization will share information regarding workplace hiring 
    migrant workers, co-development and distribution of OSH training &
    education material for migrant workers.


□ Foreign Workforce Insurance & Training Team under Foreign Workforce
   Bureau of HRDSK and OSH Training Support Department under Training
   and Media Bureau of KOSHA will be in charge of the implementation of
   this MoU


□ The two presidents of KOSHA and HRDSK agreed with the statement
    that "Thorough OHS training is crucial to prevent industrial accident for
    migrant workers". Also they said, "based on the value of Government
    3.0; communication and cooperation, we will never cease our effort to
    prevent accident for migrant workers."
