KOSHA hosts『OSH Conference Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of KOSHA』

KOSHA's preparation and determination toward future OSH changes

□ KOSHA hosted『OSH Conference Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of KOSHA』on July 4th at Coex, Seoul on the occasion of the 50th National Safety and Health Agency.

* The 50th National Safety and Health Agency: July 3 (Mon) - July 7 (Fri), Coex, Seoul

○ The conference highlighted the importance of safety and health by organizing presentation and panel discussion among OSH related personnels to cope with the future OSH environment changes represented by Industry 4.0.

○ In line with this, the conference also traced back for the last 30 years of KOSHA's history and made an announcement of KOSHA's strategy on occupational safety and health to cope with dynamically changing OSH environment.

□ All walks of life in OSHA field including businesses, Academia and OSH organizations participated in the conference. Especially, this year invited four(4) regional and international OSH professionals to have discussions on the OSH Megatrend and its countermeasures.

○ Director General Lee, Chung-ho of Seoul Regional Office of KOSHA presented OSH future strategies under the title of 'New Start-up KOSHA : writing a new history of Korea's safety and health.'

In addition, Secretary General Hans H. Kongkoelwsky of International Social Security Association, Deputy Director General Walter Eichendorf of Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung(DGUV), Director General Stephane Pimbert of Sante et securite au travail(INRS) gave presentations on future OSH changes and had panel discussions.

 President Lee Young-soon of KOSHA mentioned that KOSHA will spare no efforts to protect lives and health of workers and to make Korea safer, which boils down to becoming a global leading company in occupational safety and health.
