Training for Prospective Occupational Health Workforce in the Region

OSHTI supports the safety and health training for the students at the Department of Nursing Science, Choonhae College of Health Sciences, designated as the specialized college in occupational health on September 15th (Friday) and 22nd (Friday).

○ Aimed to provide opportunities of systematic education for college students, future occupational health workforce, the training course will be featured with classes jointly offered by the OSHTI pursuant to the requests for support made by the Choonhae College of Health Sciences.

This training is a course that will be offered through 2019 after Choonhae College of Health Sciences was selected as a specialized college in occupational health by the Ministry of Education in 2015 and subsequently established the 'curriculum on health care professionals,' where professors from the OSHTI provide lectures on their specialties accommodating each level.

○ The curriculum is comprised of a beginner's course (sophomore), an intermediate course (junior) and an advanced course (senior) by grades, and each course consists of various experiences with training facilities and lectures on areas of expertise, where over 200 future occupational health workforces have been trained since 2015.

 ○ It also offers educations regarding the issues of mental stress and emotional labor for workers as well as risk assessment of

diverse dangerous situations, which have been emphasized in preparation for the coming era of the Industry 4.0.

Through the support of lectures for the future industrial workforce, the OSHTI anticipates to fulfill the role and responsibility as a pubic educational institution as well as to present the prospective labor force the visions for the future regarding selection of career path and occupation. <END>
