Kick-off Ceremony for the Committee on Creation of Good Jobs - KOSHA

KOSHA Promotes Policies on Creation of Good Jobs Jointly Led by Management and Unions

□ KOSHA hosted a kick-off ceremony for the 'Committee on Creation of Good Jobs - KOSHA' along with the labor union of the agency (Chairman, In-woo Lee) on Monday, August 28th.

The event was prepared and promoted in order to ensure the public agency was able to fulfill its social responsibilities and both management and labor unions to diligently make efforts to 'create good jobs,' the utmost government project of the new administration.

In accordance with the policy directions of the government to 'increase good jobs, reduce working hours and non-regular employees, and to improve the quality of employment,' the management and labor unions of the industrial complex at the ceremony adopted the following:

A joint declaration after discussing △ establishment of strategies and implementation of infrastructure to create jobs, △ conversion of non-regular employments to regular employments and sharing jobs, and △ creation of quality jobs in the field of occupational safety and health;

□ The Committee on Creation of Good Jobs - KOSHA appointed the chairman of the board and the chairman of the labor union to the co-chairpersons and the planning director to the head of the committee.

○ Moreover, it plans to form a general supervision team, employment quality improvement team and private employment creation team and to appoint academic professionals and industry experts to an advisory panel.

Young-Soon Lee, the President of KOSHA, said, "I find it very much significant as both management and labor unions come together to participate in the job creation policy, the foremost government project of the new administration." He added, "Based on cooperative relationship between the management and labor unions, it is time for all of us to be an integral part of the government policy to create quality jobs."
