KOSHA picks the safest products

Safety certification center awards the best safety devices and Personal protection equipment (PPE)

Now in their 16^th year, the national Safety Awards of Industry is to find excellent safety devices and PPE in their safety, encouraging industries to develop decent products to ultimately prevent occupational accidents.

The awards are open to any products, protective equipment, safety devices and explosion proof devices that have achieved KOSHA’s safety certification, except those that already won awards in the previous event or fail to earn either safety certification or performance recognition.

The products that win awards will be exhibited in the first week of July, at COEX during the Safety and Health Week and at the safety certification center in KOSHA. They are also introduced through online and brochures.

As for last year, fifty products from thirty businesses were submitted among which the ‘Welding face-shield’ won the grand prize for its function to reduce fatigue and burden of workers while overload limiter of lifting machinery received ‘awards of accidents prevention innovation’.
