Members of the National Safety Council can now access privileged
information on the Counci1's Web site. Using their customer cat-egory/dues
codes, members can enter the specia1 "Members Only" section at
www.nsc.org/members.btm.
What members can expect are the Council's "best-kept secrets,"
according to Cindy Meehan, man-ager of membership. "Members can access
exclusive information," she said. Among the perks are the online version
of the newsletter Membership Advantage, eight division newsletters-including
Safety Focus and Tri Visions - and a change-of-address form.
Upcoming features will include member profiles, an e-mail discussion
area and an 'Ask Jerry' section, all designed to make the site as
interactive as possible. Meehan says Members Only is a way for the
Council "to enhance communication among sections and divisions that represent
more than 3O industries."
The Council established a Website in late l995. Currently, the site
averages l,3OO visitors per day.
