     OSHA OFFERS TIPS TO COMBAT THE MILLENIUM BUG
     =============================================

     Employers, employees and governments worldwide are faced with many
     concerns, including serious safety and health problems, because of
     the Year 2000 computer problem, which may lead to possible shutdowns,
     inaccurate data and faulty calculations.

     OSHA recommends that employers check every system to identify time-
     sensitive logic controls, evaluate to determine whether computer
     chips can handle the date change, fix or replace equipment that could
     cause problems and verify that the updated system works properly.

     OSHA also suggests that employers may want to evaluate the following:

   Controllers
   Security systems
   Hazard communication databases
   Lighting
   Generators
   Underground storage tank monitors
   Air monitoring devices
   Alarms
   Elevators
   Heating and air conditioning
   Robots
