     SAFETYONLINE TO HOST LIVECHAT ON RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

     The internet site for the safety professional -- SafetyOnline
     Worldwide -- will be holding a LiveChat to discuss respiratory
     protection issues in light of the October 5, 1998, full compliance
     mandate. The LiveChat will take place on October 21, 1998,
     from 3-5 PM EDT. The chat, sponsored by Coastal -- a leading provider
     of training materials -- will be an open forum to discuss the
     following:

   Revisions to OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (1910.134)
   Proposed changes to the NRC respirator regulations
   OSHA guidance recently published
   Role and qualifications of the respirator administrator
   Written program requirements
   Voluntary use of respirators
   Hazard evaluation
   Medical evaluation
   Fit testing protocols
   Program evaluation
   Cartridge change-out schedules
   Assigned protection factors

     Mary Anne Chillingworth is scheduled to be the expert presenter for
     the two-hour chat. Ms.Chillingworth, MSPH, CIH, CSP is a senior
     industrial hygienist with SCIENTECH, Inc. She supports Department of
     Energy programs in the Office of Environment, Safety, and Health,
     including the DOE Worker Safety and Health Standards
     Response Line.

     There is no charge to participate in the upcoming LiveChat. If you
     have internet access, find SafetyOnline at http://www.safetyonline.net
     and click on the LiveChat icon found on the right side of the page.
     Additional information will be provided in the following screen as
     well as instructions for downloading free chat software. The
     software is only necessary to participate in the LiveChat if you
     currently do not have chat software installed. Technical assistance
